What Do Men Really Look for in Women?

Ever wonder why Hollywood actor George Clooney ended up with International barrister Amal Alamuddin despite being linked to numerous attractive women?

University of Cambridge evolutionary biologist David Bainbridge explanation will give you an idea what men really look for in women.

Women with larger breasts and longer legs are regarded as the epitome of femininity in western culture. However, Professor Bainbridge believe men consider intelligence as the “most attractive quality for men looking for a long term partner.”

Professor Bainbridge explained that men choose intelligence when choosing a partner over anything else since it indicates that their selected partner has the capacity to be a responsible mother. Moreover, it also indicates that a woman was raised by intelligent parents and was well-fed and taken care of.

The main thing that men are looking for is intelligence. Surveys have shown time and time again that this is the first thing that men look for. It shows that she will be able to look after his children and that her parents were probably intelligent as well, suggesting that she was raised well,” he said.

Contrary to popular belief, having larger breasts is not a plus points for men.

In an interview with Hay Festival, he explained: “Breast size doesn’t matter. Actually large breasts are more likely to be asymmetric and men are more attracted to symmetry. And they look older more quickly, and men value youth.”

As for having a long pair of legs, Professor Bainbridge thinks that men prefer straight legs over long legs since straight legs indicates genetic health. However, some surveys revealed men like women with legs of regular length.

Aside from intelligence, men search for symmetry in facial and body features. Curvaceous women with a waist smaller than their hips and voluptuous thighs and bottoms attract more men since their body features indicate their capacity to carry a child in the womb.
